Targeting the millions craving entertainment on the UK’s highways everyday, in summer 2008 Shark Watch was introduced into the UK’s motorways as a research campaign on In Your Space’s High Reach Billboard format with the purpose of creating awareness of the imaginary ‘brand’.

The research campaign which carried a ‘Shark Spotting’ competition developed into an online phenomenon on SharkWatch.co.uk, whilst providing invaluable insights about the high reach media platform. SharkWatch.co.uk received thousands of shark spotters who despite being impacted by the campaign in an environment far removed from the internet kindly visited the campaign’s website and posted their own comments and pictures to it.

In Your Space thanks all shark spotters and entrants to the competition which is now closed.

Saw it on the M6 in the West Midlands last night (28/8/08). Like most other people didn't know I had to take a picture. I took notice of it and wondered what it was as my partner is looking to do a shark dive at the Blue Planet Aquarium. At least we know if we see it again we need to take a photo.

Saw the shark as I zipped past on the M4 this morning.. If only I'd been a bit quicker with my phone camera! Next time, eh?

This advert certainly has some impact! I sat quivering behind a truck in a queue with a shark looking straight down at me. Spooky.
